Please pardon the cross-posting.

Hi Folks,

From Kit Lorelied’s email below, I learned about Library Makers<https://www.librarymakers.org/>, and I thought you may want to know about<https://www.librarymakers.org/spaces/11021671/page> the national group if you don’t already. The online network is described as a “burgeoning community of library professionals for mutual support, resource sharing and learnings about the development, delivery and sustainability of community-centered library maker programs.” It’s open to anyone who is involved in makerspaces in public, academic, school, tribal, and other libraries, and there is no cost to join. Library Makers maintains a newsfeed<https://www.librarymakers.org/spaces/10996518/feed> for asking questions and sharing information, offers webinars<https://www.librarymakers.org/spaces/10789132/events> for members, and developed a makerspace toolkit<https://www.librarymakers.org/spaces/15710625/content> aimed at public libraries that can be adapted to other library types. Also, the group is looking for ambassadors “to help spread the word, contribute content, provide feedback, and encourage new library staff to join and navigate” the community; more on that below.

Best,
Jen
