The Leadership Exchange on Ageism (LEA)<https://ageplus.org/lea/> is an intensive, participatory, peer-learning leadership development experience for executive business, policy, research, and community leaders. The goals are to change and enhance our understanding of ageism at all levels, change the way we feel, think, and talk about aging and older people, and inspire us to take action to combat ageism in the institutions and systems in which we operate.

In Maine, 200 leaders from the legislature, state and municipal government, business, community, higher education, law enforcement, healthcare and nonprofit sectors have now graduated from LEA. All participants said LEA increased their knowledge and awareness of ageism, enhanced their leadership skills, motivated them to take action, gave them new tools to combat ageism, and would recommend the course to other leaders. We can do this in Oregon too!
The next Leadership Exchange on Ageism<https://ageplus.org/lea/> (LEA) cohort will be May 9, 16, 30 and June 6 from 8:30-noon. The sessions are 100% virtual. Active participation in the Leadership Exchange is required to ensure a successful experience for all. Pre-work will involve readings and videos that take under an hour. We anticipate there to be 18-20 participants per cohort fostering impactful peer interactions.

The tuition is $1250. Thanks to generous OnPoint sponsorship, we have scholarships available so please don't let that be a barrier.

Lisa Watson, Oregon Consumer Justice participated in our first cohort. She has this to say, "LEA was an incredible opportunity to learn in a community with other leaders who care about how we can work to create an age-friendly future. I appreciated the format, the intentionality, and the opportunity to connect more deeply with other leaders. I have a much deeper analysis of how ageism shows up in my own worldview, in my work, and in my life and I feel well prepared to call it out and call it in when I see it. I appreciate the cohort model and feel more connected to people across my state. Thank you, Age+ and Maine Council on Aging, for creating such an impactful curriculum."

I'm happy to help you get signed up, or you can register on your own here<https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/IV1Td8EoQzyKa8zZ8hzl3g#/registration>.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Warmly,
Lori
