While not every library can host tax assistance services, please take advantage of these handouts to help get the word out about where they are located in your region.

If you encounter folks that have trouble interacting with the Oregon Department of Revenue, please make them aware of the Oregon Taxpayer Advocate Office<https://www.oregon.gov/dor/pages/taxpayer-advocate.aspx>. I have sought assistance from this office and can personally attest that they are helpful and interested in solving problems. Also, agency staff have let us know that taxes that are filed online are going to be processed more quickly than those on printed forms this year. To assist tax filers in using the Direct File Oregon<https://www.oregon.gov/dor/programs/individuals/Pages/direct_file_OR.aspx>, Department of Revenue staff will be providing Oregon tax filing assistance at WorkSource Centers<https://www.oregon.gov/library/libraries/Documents/Miscellaneous/WorkSource_Flyer.pdf> in the upcoming months.
