[Accounts-receivable-news] SB1067 Debt Centralization Update

Good morning.

In preparation for the July 1 implementation of the debt collection provisions referenced in SB1067, the Department of Revenue Other Agency Accounts (OAA) team will be sending updated client agency service statements in mid-May. The client agency service statements will replace the existing interagency agreements between OAA and SB1067 subject agencies. The updates align with previously discussed changes related to the new legislation. The statements will reflect, for example, service delivery options including enhanced bankruptcy services, as well as OAAs oversight of debts held by private collection firms. The service statements will also reflect needed fee updates including fee increases for SB1067 subject, full collect agencies (from 15% to 19.75%) and for OJD (from 17% to 19.75%). Additional fee types and amounts will continue to be evaluated following the July 1 implementation.

The SB1067 Debt Centralization training will be held in the Employment Auditorium on Wednesday, May 16 at 1:30pm. Seating is still available, so register soon!
