[Accounts-receivable-news] Survey Request - Are Agencies assessing interest on their A/R?

Good morning.

We are currently evaluating whether to activate the interest calculation feature in SFMA.  In connection with our analysis, please answer this quick survey regarding assessing interest on accounts receivable...There are no wrong answers :)


1.       Does your agency assess interest on its Accounts Receivable?

2.       If yes, how is the interest calculated?

a.       Through the Agency's sub-accounting system?

b.       Using DOR's interest calculation?

c.       Through a manual calculation performed by the agency staff?

3.       Does your agency record the accrual of interest or does it recognize interest only when payment is received (cash basis)?
