Hello ACFR Contacts,

I'd like to share with this group that Alyssa Engelson has decided to take an exciting opportunity with the Oregon Department of Energy. She started her new position last week, and though her assigned agencies knew, I hadn't yet shared this news with the larger ACFR community in state government. ODOE is getting a great accountant and an even better person. On behalf of the entire SARS Team, we wish Alyssa the best and look forward to her continued success.

With Alyssa's departure, I'm very fortunate that Michael Cutler, a name familiar to many of you, has agreed to take a pause from enjoying his retirement and return to the SARS Team through the ACFR season. Michael has over 20 years of experience in SARS in a variety of positions, most recently as the Senior Financial Reporting and Policy Analyst prior to his retirement in January 2019. Michael will have the agencies that were previously assigned to Alyssa.
