The Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill one full-time permanent Accountant and Fiscal Coordinator (Accountant 3) position located in Salem, Oregon.

This position exists within the Administrative Services Division, whose mission is to provide a superior level of accountability, customer service, and technical and administrative support for the Department of Land Conservation and Development. The Administrative Services Division provides services in the following areas: budget, accounting, purchasing, safety, facility management, grant management, and inventory and property control.

What You Will Do

The Accountant and Fiscal Coordinator is the highest-level accountant at DLCD, and is tasked with reviewing, designing, and modifying the agency accounting structures and processes. This position is also responsible for preparing the department's annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) reports along with other financial reports as required by the Department of Administrative Services or the Agency's federal funding partners.
Duties include grant reconciliations, department-wide accounting administration, completion of the annual Indirect Cost Rate (ICR), and collaboration with department's Accountant 1 in performing daily transaction processing. The Accountant and Fiscal Coordinator requires in-depth knowledge of state governmental accounting systems and rules.
The Accountant and Fiscal Coordinator also conducts informal audit reviews of department grant programs and process to evaluate compliance with internal controls and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
