[ACFR-contacts-news] SARS pre-close reviews to begin after the close of Month 11

Greetings ACFR Contacts,

Typically SARS begins its pre-close review of agency accounting records for a fiscal year after the close of Month 10 in SFMA. Due to a variety of other pressing tasks, I've instructed the SARS team to hold off on starting their pre-close reviews until after the close of Month 11, which occurs on Friday, June 17. This means unless an agency otherwise requests an earlier pre-close review from their SARS analyst, agencies will receive feedback from a pre-close review no sooner than Tuesday, June 21. In addition, SARS will conduct pre-close reviews after the close of Month 12, so I'm confident agencies will continue to receive high-quality feedback from their SARS analysts during pre-close, consistent with prior years. I also want to make note that agencies continue to have access to Agency Guide to Year-end Close, which contains a variety of checklists to aid them in the pre-close review process.
