Hello ACFR Contacts,

I'm thrilled to share that we have added four new members to the SARS team!


  *   Alyssa Engelson - Senior Accounting Analyst. Alyssa graduated from Western Oregon University with a Bachelor's in Business and an emphasis in Accounting. She has 10 years of accounting experience, and 5 of those years have been with the state. Most recently, she was the Accounting Manager at Business Oregon. She's really excited to return to SARS!   *   Cathy Watson - Senior Accounting Analyst. Cathy joins us from OLCC where she first entered public service as a financial manager and the ACFR accountant over six years ago.  Prior to that she worked for a private, family-owned business for 16 years.  She is thrilled to be joining this team who has helped her through many year-end closes.   *   Heather Kline - Accounting Analyst. Heather comes to us from private industry, having served several years with local non-profits in financial leadership roles.  She has a bachelor's in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting and is excited to join the SARS team.   *   Bri DeLacy - Accounting Analyst. Bri comes to us from within DAS in the Oregon Statewide Payroll Services (OSPS) unit where she worked as the Payroll Tax Accountant and filled in temporarily with some ACH Coordinator dues with SFMS, as well as 5 years of tax preparation and small business accounting and payroll in the private sector. She brought her curiosity in how the State's Financial Systems and Reporting work, and a penchant for technology and Excel programming. With the additions of Alyssa, Cathy, Heather, and Bri, we are fully staffed and ready to help agencies with their accounting and reporting questions, and while beginning to turn our focus to fiscal year 2023 year-end.
