The Department of Revenue is recruiting for a Senior Year-End Accountant - Accountant 3 position. This is a Limited Duration position that is expected to end June 30, 2025.  We are securing funding and a permanent position may become available.  We are looking for talented, detail-oriented individuals to join our Financial Services Division. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in state hybrid work.  Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely.



Below is a sampling of job duties. It is not meant to encompass all duties.

  *   Lead the fiscal year-end accounting and reporting for the agency. This includes the recording of accounts receivable, allowance for uncollectible, accruals, and distributions.
  *   Coordinate responses to DAS' Statewide Accounting and Reporting Services.
  *   Senior accounting member in a leadership role ensuring the accuracy of agency-wide accounting of revenues and disbursements.
  *   Assign and review work, training, and performing the most complex accounting functions.
  *   Review and oversee work prepared by professional accounting staff is in conformance with GAAP, GASB, and DAS accounting standards and performed timely and accurately.
  *   Senior accounting member in a leadership role ensuring the implementation of new tax programs, service packs, system versions, and system modifications to the GenTax subsystem that relate to the General Ledger and Revenue Accounting.



The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:

  *   Ability to analyze data and problem-solve.
  *   Proficiency in the Statewide Financial Management Application (SFMA).
  *   Experience in preparing year-end reporting and disclosures.
  *   Detail-oriented.
