Good morning.  As we draw closer to the end of the federal fiscal year with little assurance that agreement on funding will be reached, you may have questions about various federal programs.  The following link provides a FAQ document on a lapse in appropriations updated as of September 22, 2023, and contains federal agency contingency plans which may help with information on specific programs.  Also attached is a report by the Congressional Research Service specific to state and local governments - while dated 2021 it provides good information concerning shutdown impacts.
