The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the preparation of the States Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), related note disclosures and supporting schedules. Duties include review of General Ledger account balances within SFMA, and preparation of accounting entries needed to report agencies State Fiscal Year activities compliant with State and Federal Rules, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP). This position provides analysis of audit questions and communicates responses to Secretary of State Auditors, and other federal and internal auditors. Other duties include monitoring trial balances for anomalies and coordinating any necessary correcting adjustments with other units.
