The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Financial Services team at our Central Office in Salem. In this vital role, you will lead the agency's fiscal year-end accounting and reporting processes, including oversight of government bonds and the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards. You will also provide expert-level review of work performed by accounting professionals to ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, DAS standards, and the Oregon Accounting Manual. As a senior team member, you'll guide and mentor staff, support policy and system development, and play a key role in preparing comprehensive financial statements and agency reports. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of complex financial accounting systems, demonstrates proficiency with the Statewide Financial Management Application (SFMA), and applies an equity lens to all aspects of their work. Top Duties of the Position

  *   Lead the fiscal year-end accounting and reporting for the agency, including government bonds and Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards

  *   Prepare and maintain agency financial reports and accounting structures
