I agree as well. The cost-benefit doesn’t seem like it makes sense…but polling is a great idea.

I agree with Daina. The expense seem onerous and I'm not sure it's every been so used by folks that it would merit the cost. Polling people for future events is a good idea. In the conference evaluation, perhaps.

I would skip the videographer. The cost seems high. Maybe we can poll people who attend to see if this is a service they would find useful for people at their libraries who can't attend. Then we could incorporate it for future events.

Hi team,

Mark has been researching videographers for us. Quotes for videographers in the Corvallis/Albany area so far are for between $2,000 - $2,500. Which is quite a bit over our budget of $1,500.

The reason the quote is coming in high, is because we have multiple rooms that will need to be covered, which means extra people to do the work. One of the places could do an all-day event in one room for about $1,400.00, but needing to bring an extra person or two ups the price significantly.

So the question is, do we:

a) Research videographers from the Eugene and Salem areas? (however, those quotes might be higher due to the travel)

b) Go with the high price? Technically, there is room in the budget<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XaQ7Y_d9A3KvS0rT69qpi8Ov0Bs5wqrn4mMmRBajSPE/edit#gid=0>.

c) Forgo having a videographer all together.

Thoughts?
