[Answerland-summit] Name badges - need your input

Hi Lori,
A couple questions/comments: Why does the font have to be so big? It appears like text may have just been copied/pasted here? Or did it just re-format funny when converted to PDF? See Lisa Euster (pg 9) – kind of like D. Levy – for example. Couldn’t the font size just be revised some?
I’m not keen on using abbreviations, especially for names of institutions, but even “SD” I think could be confusing. So I would encourage us to find another way to make the text fit.
Also, are you set on having the logo sit above “ORS 2018”? Or are you open to having the font smaller so they’re side-by-side? Or logo in the middle? Not sure why, but it looks a little off to me. I won’t quibble if everyone else is fine with it, but if left up to me, I might play with that a bit…
Re Natalie’s comment: Will we have ribbons for presenters and volunteers to attach to the bottom of badges? I don’t think badges typically imprint the designation (many of our presenters will also be attendees, right?) but the ribbons can help highlight different roles. Not sure if those were in the plans, though?
(Maybe Tamara is out of the office today, as I haven’t heard back from her as I thought I would…I’m sure she’ll weigh in as she’s able!)

I like them! And agree with the honing down for the long titles.
Will our badges indicate if we are volunteers and/or presenters?

Yes, I agree, I plan on going through and honing those down to the pertinent info.

I like the look, but for people with complicated job titles it seems busy -- Debbie Levy is a good example. Is there a reasonable way to abbreviate institutions? (SD for school district, HS for high school, PNCA for Pacific Northwest College of Art....)
(Also, I didn't see a badge for me!)

Hi All,
Just wondering what you think. Do these look ok with the logo on them or too busy? I could just take of the logo and leave them plain. I tried setting the logo as a water mark but it was distracting.
Thanks,
Lori
