Hey team!

I received this yesterday from Kimberly Barbara, one of our scholarship recipients.

I'm forwarding it along (with her permission), as I thought that you all might like to see it, or we may want to file it with our other post event feedback:

"I just wanted to let you know that I received the check in yesterday afternoon's class! Thank you so much for assisting me throughout the process. It was a treat to be able to just step back from the daily work cycle (well, until I made the "mistake" of checking my work email at the end of lunch and was pulled into it, briefly, for a few minutes, there-!), breath, and think more deeply about how to library services at the high school. A lot of our seniors will be moving on to college next year and I'm trying to get them acquainted with college-level databases and research procedures in advance, so there was definitely something for me to gain in attending and I came away with 4 or 5 pages' worth of notes and ideas. :-)

Sincerely know that I appreciate the financial means for being able to attend, too. Our district has PD funds for staff to attend events but, even when I asked way back last Sept. to see if I could use them to attend, I was told that the funds had already all been allocated for the school year-!?-so I was doubtful that I'd be able to benefit from any of the offerings available out there, until I saw that there was this scholarship being offered! So thank you once again, for that!
