Thank you Lori!

Joanna, can you add to the website and create the registration spreadsheet? ☺ Once that’s up, we can share out!

A Panel Discussion on how the COVID-19 Pandemic Changed Public Libraries

This event will be a sharing session about how public libraries have been evolving during the pandemic.

We will have volunteer panelists share some specific experiences to get the discussion started, and then continue the conversation as a group. Share the challenges, successes and failures you experienced at your library.

Some ideas to think about for this session:

· What have you learned that you would like/will keep using?

· What things/services/protocols etc. will you NOT be going back to?

Panelists:

Andrea Leone, Jackson County Library Services
Paul Addis, Coos County Public Library

Tuesday, August 24 at 11 am
The Zoom link to this webinar will be shared with registrants the day before the panel.

Here are the bios for our panelists:

Andrea Leone, Jackson County Library Services
Andrea Leone has been the Medford Teen Librarian at Jackson County Library Services since just before the pandemic started in 2020. In her tenure, the reality has been that nothing is ever certain, and you've got to be ready to adjust on a moment's notice! With this experience of only really being a librarian during a pandemic, Andrea has an interesting perspective to bring to how libraries are constantly adapting to suit the needs of the moment.

Paul Addis, Coos County Public Library
Paul Addis, Reference Librarian at Coos Bay Public Library, works with members of his community to increase information literacy, workforce readiness, food security, physical health, and equity. When the pandemic hit, Paul switched gears to continue providing existing services virtually and create new services addressing pandemic era needs such as providing Covid relief funds to Hispanic families, events focused on diversity, and engaging local community organizations by bringing them together to discuss best practices, recruit volunteers, and build community.

Lori Moore
Workforce Development Librarian
Multnomah County Library
