<div dir="auto">While at ALA in Philly this past weekend, I spoke with some folks from an organization called Urban Librarians Unite (https://urbanlibrariansunite.org/).</div>

<div dir="auto">One of the programs they run is the Library Worker Support Network:</div>
<div dir="auto"><br>
</div>
<div dir="auto">"A series of peer-led support groups</div>
<div dir="auto">made up of library workers which allow workers at all levels to offer and receive support from colleagues at other institutions who can empathize and understand the unique challenges associated with library work</div>
<div dir="auto"><br>
</div>
<div dir="auto">The Library Worker Support Network is one of the first outcomes of the Urban Library Trauma Study released in 2022.</div>
<div dir="auto">Researchers on that project found that many library workers felt alone in their experiences of abuse, harassment or secondary trauma."</div>
