[Answerland] Hello from the new Answerland Coordinator

Hi Everyone!

My name is Gesse and, as you may have heard, I started in the Answerland Coordinator role on June 5th. I wanted to reach out to introduce myself and share how excited I am to get to work with all of you! I've been lucky enough to work in academic, school, and public libraries with the bulk of my experience at Multnomah County Library. I'm passionate about expanding information access and dismantling barriers that keep community members from the information resources they need. Outside of my work in libraries, I enjoy baking, reading, and exploring with my kids.

Expect to hear more from me in the coming weeks, as I get up to speed. I'm planning to reach out to partner libraries and volunteers to check in and make sure I have your updated information. I will also be connecting with the Advisory Council, Quality Control Team, and Reference Summit Team soon.

Lastly, I'd like to express my thanks to Tamara Ottum for acting as the interim coordinator (while also doing a whole other job!) and for her continued support as I learn all things Answerland.
