[Answerland] Opportunities to Support Answerland this Summer: Extra Shifts and Serving as a Mentor

Hi All,

If you have capacity, please consider the following ways to support our statewide virtual reference services this summer!

Extra Shifts in July and August
Due to some staffing changes at partner libraries, we have less coverage then usual in the coming months. You can help out by picking up an open shift in LibStaffer or by letting me know if you are available for a temporary chat shift on Friday afternoons.

Mentoring a Volunteer
We will have several new volunteers starting in the next month or so. (This will be the last group of new volunteers unless we have stable funding past the end of fiscal year 25-26.) Our new volunteers are eager to apply what they've learned in their MLIS programs and to gain practical reference experience that will support them in achieving their professional goals.  Are you interested in helping them get up to speed on Answerland? I'm looking for mentors who have staffed Answerland for at least a year and would have 1-2 hours a week available starting in the end of July through the end of September. This is a rewarding way to give back to the Answerland community while growing leadership and training skills! Please let me know if you are interested.
