I received approval from the Oregon chapter of NASW to offer 12.0 CE credits for social workers who complete the ASIST training from "approved" trainers (everyone who sent me a bio). You may begin to offer the 12.0 CE credits right away for those who complete the training. Here is the process: Participants who want credits sign a roster. They complete a separate evaluation form for NASW. You give each of the participants who are getting credits an NASW certificate - you fill in their names and the training completion date. You send the completed rosters and evaluations to me (address on the forms). Send the forms to me because the Public Health Division is "sponsoring" the trainings as far as CEs are concerned. That might seem a little strange because you/your organizations are sponsoring your trainings, but CE approval is through our application. Oregon NASW wants to receive the rosters and evaluations only 2-3 times a year (not after each training), so I will send many in at the same time. Please contact me for the blank certificates, roster, and evaluation forms that you'll need. I'll send them electronically. If you want your trainings listed on the Oregon NASW training website and in their quarterly newsletter, you'll have to let me know by August 31, November 30, February 29, and May 31 for the following quarter. Send me the dates, address, sponsor, cost, and contact information (phone, email, or web address). If you didn't send me a brief bio, it's not too late. Please send it now - it does have to go through their approval process, but I can add names. I'll attach the list of ASIST trainers approved to offer NASW CE credits. If you or your training partner aren't listed, I didn't receive a bio. I understand that NASW CEs also are accepted for LPCs and also for addictions counselors and prevention specialists through ACCBO (the Addiction Counselor Certification Board). Now we can advertise that we offer NASW CE credits in our promotional materials. Please let me know if you have any questions. Kind regards, Donna Donna G. The conference will run from 5:00pm - 10:00pm on the 16th and 9:00am - 4:00pm on the 17th. It's a great opportunity for new trainers to meet other trainers, and for more experienced trainers to brush up on skills. It's also a time for self care as Edgefield offers a great spa and soaking tub. To help defray the costs, we'll be asking you to send $35.00 with your registration form which will be going out next month. Lodging will be on your own. A price list for rooms is attached. Hope you can make it! Jill Jill Hollingsworth, MA Program Supervisor ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. We would have to have 16 people for dinner on the 16th and 23 people for breakfast and lunch on the 17th. To be sure, I think I should send out a Save the Date email with a request for a reservation. That way I will have a better sense of whether enough people come to meet the min. for The Barley Room. How much should we charge for dinner? I have a follow up email that asks about minimums for breakfast and lunch on the 17th. As far as dinner goes, the sales rep. said that there is a minimum $500 order. We could take advanced orders (they need advanced orders for groups larger than 15) when people register and set a due date for payment. The attached table of rooms reflects the total number of rooms available. European rooms reflect the fact that they don't have bathrooms. Some trainers might be OK with this, but I must have a bathroom close by due to complications of expelling an 11 lb. 3 oz. baby. The sales rep. said that they can hold up to 15 rooms until 30 days before the event at which point they would open the rooms to the public. Let me know what you want to do. We're wide open on November 16th for event spaces, and hotel rooms. 14 of the hotel rooms available have private bathrooms. It just depends on your set up, but I think that our Barley Room could be good for 25 people. I will paste pictures of that space below, and the food & beverage minimum in the evening on that day would be $500. Barley Room: The way our minimums work are that so long as the sum of your hosted food & hosted drinks (including alcohol) equals or exceeds the required amount, then there is no rental fee for the space. Additionally we charge 18% gratuity. Or if you decide you would like a larger space, our Ballroom is also available for a $1,000 food & beverage minimum. Ballroom: Our catering menu is attached for your reference along with our current hotel-room pricing, and please let me know what else would be helpful!
