Dear Fellow ASIST Trainers,

 

ColumbiaCare is planning to hold our annual ASIST Trainer Regional
Conference at McMenamins Edgefield (
http://www.mcmenamins.com/54-edgefield-home) on November 16th and 17th
this year in combination with suicideCare (see attached flyer) on the
16th. The conference will run from 5:00pm - 10:00pm on the 16th and
9:00am - 4:00pm on the 17th. It's a great opportunity for new trainers
to meet other trainers, and for more experienced trainers to brush up on
skills. It's also a time for self care as Edgefield offers a great spa
and soaking tub. 

 

To help defray the costs, we'll be asking you to send $35.00 with your
registration form which will be going out next month. Lodging will be on
your own. A price list for rooms is attached.

Hi Gary and Debrah,

 

Would really like to have it at Edgefield, but concerned that we may not
make their minimum - $900.00 ($400 breakfast and lunch/$500 dinner)
because the minimum does not include an 18% gratuity. We would have to
have 16 people for dinner on the 16th and 23 people for breakfast and
lunch on the 17th.

 

To be sure, I think I should send out a Save the Date email with a
request for a reservation. That way I will have a better sense of
whether enough people come to meet the min. for The Barley Room. How
much should we charge for dinner? Do you want to offer SCare at
Edgefield or somewhere else?

Hi Jill,
Debrah and I are working on scheduling suicideCARE etc. You still want
to do an ASIST-sC pair in conjunction with the Trainer's conf? Have we
decided where the conf will be?

	We're wide open on November 16th for event spaces, and hotel
rooms.  14 of the hotel rooms available have private bathrooms.  It just
depends on your set up, but I think that our Barley Room could be good
for 25 people.  I will paste pictures of that space below, and the food
& beverage minimum in the evening on that day would be $500.

	The way our minimums work are that so long as the sum of your
hosted food & hosted drinks (including alcohol) equals or exceeds the
required amount, then there is no rental fee for the space.
Additionally we charge 18% gratuity.

	 

	Or if you decide you would like a larger space, our Ballroom is
also available for a $1,000 food & beverage minimum.
