[ASIST_Network] Fwd: AMSR training in Eugene 11-4-11

Dear ASIST Trainers,
I'm forwarding an opportunity for your ASIST-trained mental health
professionals to attend an Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR)
training. It goes the next steps beyond ASIST to train MH professionals
to assess, treat, and manage suicidal clients. See below and the
attached flyer for more information.
 
The training was developed by national experts in collaboration with
SPRC and is on their best-practice list:

John Hancock, chief psychologist (among other things) at Lewis & Clark
College will be the trainer.
 
I encourage you to notify mental health professionals you have trained
in ASIST and let them know about this training. (If you are a mental
health professional, consider attending this training.) Sandy Moses,
Mental Health Promotion Coordinator in Lane County is holding this
training - contact her if you have questions.
