From gmcconahay at columbiacare.org Fri Apr 27 11:51:07 2018 From: gmcconahay at columbiacare.org (gary mcconahay) Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2018 18:51:07 +0000 Subject: [ASIST_Network] ACCBO credit for ASIST workshops Message-ID: Hello ASIST Trainer Colleagues! I have some good news. I recently applied for and received approval to give 14 hours of continuing education credit to persons who need credit from the Addictions Counselor Certification Board of Oregon who complete an ASIST workshop. These include persons involved in the fields of Addiction Counseling, Prevention, Addictions Treatment Clinical Supervision, and Gambling. ACCBO was gracious enough to extend this approval broadly to the ASIST workshop in Oregon under specific conditions: The ASIST must be done according to standard procedures by Registered Trainers, and Participants must be given a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop (our standard Certificate will do; just make sure it says 14 hours, which is typical). So, one more opportunity to extend our reach to those who serve Individuals at elevated risk of suicide. Thanks ACCBO!
