From MEGHAN.CRANE at dhsoha.state.or.us Tue Jan 28 15:48:10 2020 From: MEGHAN.CRANE at dhsoha.state.or.us (Crane Meghan) Date: Tue, 28 Jan 2020 23:48:10 +0000 Subject: [ASIST_Network] Request for QPR Trainers Message-ID: Hi all, See a request for QPR trainers below. I know this is the ASIST listserv, but we don't have a comprehensive list of QPR trainers and I know many of you are cross trained. Please pass along to any QPR trainers you know. The Suicide Prevention Task Force (in Columbia County) is looking for a certified QPR trainer to provide a QPR training at the Survive and Thrive Wellness Fair that we are organizing on February 8th from 11-3 at St Helens High School in St Helens, Oregon. Due to staffing changes, we lost access to our normally available QPR trainer and are looking for a QPR trainer who would be available at any point during the time of the fair to provide a training to the community. We will be offering community information and activities related to the 7 components of wellness, as well as wellness-related crafts and activities and trauma-informed yoga. The Suicide Prevention Task Force is made up of representatives from Public Health, Primary Care, Mental/Behavioral Health, Social Service agencies, Faith Leaders, Education, and community members. Its purpose is to address stigma and misinformation regarding suicide and its impact within Columbia County. The members of this group represent community expertise and knowledge of the lasting impact that suicide has on society. Please reach out to Heather Anderson at handerson at columbia-health.org or Teresa Lavagnino lavagninot at careoregon.org for further questions or if interested.
