<p class="MsoNormal">The Oregon Board of Accountancy would like to welcome and introduce the newly hired Executive Director, Martin Pittioni. Mr. Pittioni received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Portland State University, and holds a Masters
Degree in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and completed doctoral coursework in Public Administration and Policy at Portland State University.

<p class="MsoNormal">Mr. Pittioni brings with him an extensive background in state government. Most recently he served as the Executive Director for the Board of Licensed Social Workers where he implemented online renewals, converted Board compliance information
to secure electronic delivery, and managed a 40% increase in licensees after working successfully for passage of social work regulatory reforms in 2009. .<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Mr. Pittioni joined the Board of Accountancy as of November 1, 2012. He replaces former Executive Director Pat Hearn. Mr. Pittioni has served as the Interim Director for the Board of Accountancy since August 16, 2012, overseeing all
aspects of licensing and compliance, and developing the 2013-15 agency budget documents.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Board and staff are confident in Mr. Pittioni’s ability to guide the Board to greater transparency, clearer communication and great leadership.
