[Busmgrs] Oregon Government Ethics Commission: Public Official Disclosure

ODE is sending this message on behalf of the Oregon Government Ethics Commission to all Public School District and Education Service District Superintendents and Business Managers:

ORS 244.050(1)(o) requires the chief administrative officer (superintendent) and the financial officer (business manager) of each school district and ESD who held the position on April 15, 2008, to complete and return a Quarterly Public Official Disclosure (QPOD) form by the 15th of the month following each quarter.  The 3rd quarter report is posted on the home page of the commission's website and the filing will be due postmarked not later than October 15, 2008.  The web address is www.oregon.gov/ogec<http://www.oregon.gov/ogec>.  A copy of the form and instructions for completing the form are included with this mailing [see attachments].

- QPODs must be filed only by those individuals who held positions on April 15 (If and official was appointed after April 15, that official does not have a filing due until April of the following year.)
- QPODs must be returned even if there is nothing to report for the quarter. QPODs must be labeled with the person's name, jurisdiction (city, county name, etc,) and position held.

Please advise the commission of resignations and appointments as they occur.  We depend on you to help us maintain an accurate database. We will continue to gather information needed to complete the email distribution list for future reminder notices.  If you have not already provided your information, please send an email to ogec.mail at state.or.us<mailto:ogec.mail at state.or.us> stating that you are the contact person for your jurisdiction to receive public official filing reminders.
