[Busmgrs] Important Recovery Act Information

Good afternoon -

You may have heard recently (as of Wednesday, December 16) about federal changes to Section 1512 reporting for this current cycle (ending December 31, 2009).

Please note we have been informed the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will release updated jobs guidance and other related reporting guidance updates today, Friday, December 18.  While several federal agencies have referenced the expected changes, we have seen nothing official from OMB. Therefore, please continue to operate under ODE's previously issued reporting guidance until/unless instructed otherwise.

We realize the frustration of receiving updated guidance this late in the reporting cycle, especially in light of the upcoming holiday season, and we are working to minimize impact on our school districts and other sub-recipients.  We greatly appreciate all the efforts you have made to ensure the State of Oregon successfully complies with Section 1512 reporting requirements.
