[Busmgrs] 2014-15 Estimates

Dear Business Managers,

And the award for best estimates of the year goes to...sorry, got caught up in Oscar fever.

I am pleased to announce that the 2014-15 estimates are published on our website. The ADMw breakouts are here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/transparency-estimate-2-28-14-930-hrs.pdf. The ESD estimates are here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/esd-14-15-estimate-as-of-2-28-14-1513-hrs.pdf.

These estimates have several important updates that I want to highlight. First, estimated extended ADMw for the state is 672,000. This includes both increases for changes in the poverty calculation and a lot of changes districts made to their estimates to correctly count their charter school numbers.

Second, the Legislative Revenue Office's local revenue forecasts for 2014-15 have been included. I increased the estimated local revenue to be in more alignment with their forecast. Additionally districts have updated their estimates as well based on their tax collection so far.

Finally, these updates include all district updated information through February 26. If you would like to make changes based on this information please let me know. The changes will be captured in the next estimate.

The schedule going forward should be in this order:
1.      Posting the Common School Fund payment
2.      Making the March 2014 payment
3.      Posting a 2012-13 estimate that includes 2012-13 annual ADM
4.      Posting a 2013-14 estimate.
