[Busmgrs] 2012-13 Estimates

Dear Business Managers,

I hope everyone is having a relaxing Spring Break. If you are having a relaxing Spring Break but still checking email, please don't open this email until Monday...it can wait. I also want to thank you for your well wishes and patience as I was out recovering from leg surgery. I am on the road to recovery, for better or worse.

At long last the 2012-13 estimates are out and available for review. The district estimate is here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/2012-13-adm-breakout-3-26-14-0945-hrs.pdf. The ADMw breakout is here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/2012-13-adm-breakout-3-26-14-0945-hrs.pdf. The ESD estimates are available here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/esd-12_13-estimate-as-of-3-26-14-1509-hrs.pdf.

Highlights for these estimates:
1.      2012-13 annual ADM has been loaded into the estimate
2.      2012-13 actual revenues have been loaded into the estimate
3.      2012-13 Foster, Neglected and Delinquent counts are in the estimate
4.      2012-13 Transportation costs are in the estimate*

What remains to be updated for 2012-13:
1.      * Some transportation figures still need to be collected, but the grant should not change much
2.      IEP Cap Waiver calculation needs to be updated
3.      IEP counts need to be updated to account for inter-district transfer students
4.      Small High School Grant needs to be updated
5.      High Cost Disability Grant needs to be updated

I will be working on those projects over the next couple of weeks.

Upcoming updates are planned to be as follows:
1.      Local Option Equalization Grants distributed
2.      2013-14 Estimates published
3.      High Cost Disability Grant distributions published
4.      Small High School Grant Distributions published.

As part of these updates I will be contacting various districts to provide updates and review numbers. Please try to get back to me as soon as possible so we can get the information out as soon as possible.
