Statewide Solicitation efforts for Written Translation Services Price Agreements

Summary:
DAS Procurement Services is conducting a Price Agreement Determination (PA Determination) to evaluate the feasibility of developing a formal solicitation process that would result in a contract or contracts for Written Translation Services. These contracts would be for the benefit of State Agencies and Oregon Cooperative Procurement Participants<http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/EGS/ps/Pages/Outreach/coop-menu2.aspx> (ORCPP's). Should it be determined that the a statewide price agreement is in the best interest of the state DAS PS will enlist a sourcing team made up of both State Agency users and ORCPP's.

There are currently twelve (12) statewide price agreements available for the written translation of various languages. These price agreements will be expiring in 2015. Authorized purchasers follow a prescribed work order process for the final contractor selection. The work order process includes consideration of the following criteria;

      1.      Requested language.
      2.      Service category (medical, legal, education, social services and general administrative).
      3.     Software capability.
      4.    Turnaround time or availability.
      5.     Communication capability (fax, eMail, courier or mail).
      6.    Cost.

Action Items:
DAS Procurement Services is requesting the following data from School Districts either interested in using written translation services or currently using written translation services:

     1.      Please submit the following data to the eMail address below:
                           a.     Agency or entity name.
                           b.    Your name and title.
                           c.     Last quarter's written translation services purchase totals, (Q3 2014).
                           d.    How the services were are obtained, single purchases, existing statewide agreement or other agreement?
                           e.     Projected written translation services spend for 2015.

When submitting the requested data above please insert "Written Translation Services" in the subject line of your eMail.
