[Busmgrs] 2016-17 Update

Dear Business Managers,

I know that everyone is eagerly awaiting the 2016-17 estimates from ODE. We are working diligently on getting those out to everyone. As you may know ODE must have those estimates out by the first Monday in March. This year that is March 7. We may need until that time to provide you with the estimates.

We are hard at work on implementing HB 2150 which changes the way we calculate ADMw for districts and charter schools. This is a significant change to the way the Stat School Fund is programmed at ODE. We are very close to being done with that programming chance. Once we are done we will be able to provide new 2016-17 estimates. These estimates will look and feel slightly different but should continue to provide districts with the information they need.
Because we are still finishing up we may need until March 7 to get the estimates out to you.

I would like to mention that ODE's IT staff has been of great assistance in this project. Many thanks to Wendy Finley, Mike Mendez, Chris Edison, Dan Ricketts, Susie Strangfield, and Leah Thorpe. They have done great work.
