[Busmgrs] A message from LeeAnne Fergason: Safe Routes to School update for business managers

Good morning,

I am the Safe Routes to School Program Manager for the Oregon Department of Transportation. I am very excited to be implementing ODOT grant programs that will provide funds to school districts, cities, and counties (plus more) to address barriers to students walking and biking to school. Our goal is to inform school communities about this funding opportunity and connect school communities with the cities and counties that own roads in the public right of way to ensure that projects are built that provide the most benefit to the community.

Attached is a flyer for upcoming workshops and webinar held in March and April across the state for interested parties to learn more about this new grant program. ODOT will be soliciting proposals this spring. The workshops<https://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/Programs/TDD%20Documents/SRTS-Workshops-Spring-2019.pdf> are open to the public.
