The 18-19 estimate is posted to the web for your review. This latest estimate includes changes in carve outs on the cover page to include a $911,000 increase from donations. There were some slight changes in local revenue and 2nd period 18-19 ADM. I have also updated the special education weights with the special education child count collection. Finally there is the preliminary payment for the small high school grant and high cost disability grant. The high cost disability grant is based off data submitted in the 19-20 estimate of membership and revenue. This is the final reconciliation of the 2017-18 SY which includes final transportation grant, high cost disability grant and small high school grant. Thank you all for getting data submitted and reaching out to me when something doesn't look right For 2018-19 there is still time, till next May, to insure any discrepancies are fixed and data is accurate. The Student Success Act (HB3427) allows for a $200 Million increase to the State School Fund, bringing it to $9 Billion for the biennium. The latest 2019 - 2020 estimate is available for your review which reflects these changes as well as others. An increase in ESD revenues and $10 million increase to the transportation grant. Based on trend, I have also increased the projected carve out for long term care and local option equalization grant. The number of children in foster homes in the district is determined by the report of the Department of Human Services "Annual Statistical Report on Children in Foster Homes and Children in Families Receiving AFDC Payments in Excess of the Poverty Income Level," or its successor, for October 31 of the year prior to the year of distribution. Essentially we use 18/19 data to project forward for 19/20 and the data shifted off by one district. Not all foster students in the state are included in this report and resulting SSF data.
