<div>Dear Business Managers,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The latest 2011-12 estimates are available on the web. District estimates are available here: <a href="http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/2011_12-ssf-estimate-as-of-5-6-13-2305hrs.pdf"><font color="blue"><u>http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/2011_12-ssf-estimate-as-of-5-6-13-2305hrs.pdf</u></font></a>.
The district ADMw breakouts are available here: <a href="http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/2011_12-ssf-admw-breakout-of-5-6-13-2305hrs.pdf"><font color="blue"><u>http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/2011_12-ssf-admw-breakout-of-5-6-13-2305hrs.pdf</u></font></a>.
Finally, ESD estimates are available here: <a href="http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/esd-11_12-estimate-as-of-5-6-13-2305hrs.pdf"><font color="blue"><u>http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/esd-11_12-estimate-as-of-5-6-13-2305hrs.pdf</u></font></a>.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>These estimates update the following information:</div>
<ol style="margin:0;padding-left:36pt;">
<li>Revenues have been updated with actual revenues</li><li>Transportation expenditures has been updated with actual expenditures.</li><li>Neglected, Foster, and Delinquent counts have been updated.</li><li>IEP counts have been updated to include those students on an inter-district transfer. </li><li>The reserve fund for 2011-12 has been rolled into the formula.</li></ol>
<div> </div>
<div>The result of these updates is an increase in the ratio. Not only was the reserve fund rolled into the formula, but local revenue was approximately $12 million higher than estimates. That increase was tempered by an increase of approximately $4.5 million
in transportation costs. However, overall there is an increase in funding.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>There is still a few items to be updated. The biggest is that the 11% Cap Waiver calculation is waiting on some information from the field. Once we have that we will update. Additionally, you may notice that transportation costs are not broken down by
category. We know about that and are working on a fix that should roll out with the next estimate. Finally, the poverty weights have been updated to comply with ORS 338.157 in regards to calculating poverty for charter schools. We are still looking at the underlying
calculations and there may be some small shifting of that information.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Currently, the plan is to issue one more 2011-12 estimate which will be the final 2011-12 estimate. We will also issue one more 2012-13 estimate before the May payment.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thank you for your patience.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you have any questions, please let me know.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thank you,</div>
