and reducing their environmental impact. Parents, students, staff and governments at federal, state and local levels recognize schools receiving a Green Ribbon Schools award as exemplary models of achievement in sustainability, health, and environmental education.
This is a wonderful opportunity for Oregon schools to showcase increased energy cost savings, enhanced critical thinking skills of students, improved student performance, reduced behavioral problems, and increased student engagement, particularly in science,
technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#333333">Any public or private Oregon school can apply to be considered for this award. Applications can be for a single school or for an entire district. In some cases, you may want to highlight
a single school, in other cases you may want to celebrate district-wide accomplishments. Select the application form (attached) that is right for you.

to the US Department of Education for recognition. Applications should be forwarded to
