The survey is available starting today at www.co.douglas.or.us/dccf and will be open for public input for three weeks--through Thursday, October 15. The survey asks your opinion on how community conditions and priorities for services to children and families may have changed since we jointly developed the 2008-2014 plan two years ago. Counties are required to submit plan updates to the Oregon Commission on Children and Families every two years to report any adjustments to the six-year plan. The Douglas County Commission on Children and Families is charged by the Oregon legislature to prepare and oversee the implementation of a local comprehensive plan that coordinates services to children and families. The 2008-2014 plan can be found online at http://www.co.douglas.or.us/dccf/planning.htm. Douglas County*s six-year plan was built on prior planning processes, beginning in 1994. The most recent plan was developed through broad-based community outreach that encompassed 26 hours of focus group discussions in nineteen settings; four community forums held in Canyonville, Drain, Reedsport, and Roseburg; a public hearing; and a youth forum. The 2010 biennial plan update will capture new or different community conditions, priorities, issues, and outcomes. If you have questions about the survey, contact Daniel Miley at (541) 957-4622, or by email at damiley at co.douglas.or.us. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
