[CAPP] Important Reminder

Dear Colleagues,
 
This is  reminder that the DHS District 6 Diversity Training, "Building Awareness and Understanding of Mental Illness, Part II" is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 18th.
 
Trainer:  Doug Eckstein, Licensed Professional Counselor, Valley View Counseling
 
Subject Summary:  Doug will lead us in an exploration of executive functioning deficits.  We will build understanding and awareness.  Our goal is to have more effective interactions with challenging clients.
Even If you did not attend Part I, you can participate in this training.  Doug will provide a brief overview of Part I at the beginning of this session.    
 
There are two sessions (choose one):  Either 9:30 am to 11:30 am OR 1:15 pm to 3:15 pm.
 
Where:  Douglas County Library, Ford Community Room, Roseburg
 
Note:  Please be sure to park across the street, not in the main library parking lot.
 
Registration:  No registration and no fee for individuals!   
 
If you are a DHS employee, please be sure that you have your supervisor's approval.  
 
If you are a DHS supervisor, please try to split your unit evenly ( 1/2 morning session and 1/2 afternoon session).  
 
If you are a community partner, please follow whatever internal protocols apply to your agency.  You are most welcomed to participate!
