Mercy Foundation and the Douglas County Abuse Prevention Coalition are
seeking ideas and input from community members on preventing child abuse
before it occurs.  *All ideas are important,* says Lisa Platt, Mercy
Foundation president. *We hope that whether they come in person, call or
send us an email that many community members will share their ideas on
how we as a community can prevent abuse.*  
For community members who prefer to share ideas in person, the
collation is holding meetings at the following locations: 
      Douglas County Central Library, 1409 NE Diamond Lake, Roseburg,
on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 
      Tri-City Elementary School, 546 SW Chadwick Lane, Tri-City,
Tuesday, March 1, 2011 
      Drain Civic Center, 205 W. A Avenue, Drain, Wednesday, March 2,
2011
All meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m.  Light refreshments will be
served.  Other options to submit ideas and comments are by calling
