It's important and I apologize that it didn't connect in my brain that I needed to let all of you know. The DHS Learning Center has an automatic wait list feature. I recommend that when you are approached by someone who expresses interest in attending the conference but hasn't yet registered that you respond in this way: Explain that while registration is now at capacity, we encourage them to go to the DHS Learning Center and register for the conference. The DHS Learning Center will tell them that registration is full and that their name is being added to the waitlist. New registrations will be filled on a first come, first served basis. If a position opens up, the Learning Center will register them in the conference and send them an email notice that they are registered. Another advantage to people being on the waitlist is that CAPP will know not only the number of people on the wait list, but also who they are and how to contact them. If CAPP cannot include them for this conference, the people may be able to be included in future events. You may also give the inquiring person my phone number and I will talk with them. 541-464-2041. Hope this helps!
