[CAPP] DHS Child Welfare Survey

Dear CAPP Members,

DHS Child Welfare in Douglas County needs your help identifying the unmet needs of Child Welfare children and families.  We are in the beginning stages of planning for local implementation of SB964, also referred to as the "Strengthening, Preserving, and Reunifying Families Program."   The identified outcomes of SB964 are as follows:


*        Reduce the number of children/youth in foster care.

*        Expedite the return home of children from foster care.

*        Reduce re-abuse rates.

*        Services are culturally appropriate

*        Services are specific to fill the gaps identified in the community
