Today, CISA released a new resource titled Tactics of Disinformation Series<https://www.cisa.gov/sites/default/files/publications/tactics-of-disinformation_508.pdf>, also available in Spanish<https://www.cisa.gov/sites/default/files/publications/tactics-of-disinformation_spanish_508.pdf>, which offers state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) government officials and private sector partners insight into eight common tactics used by disinformation actors. 

 

This series of one-pagers describes each tactic, highlights examples of their use by disinformation actors, and outlines proactive measures that can be taken to mitigate the effectiveness of each tactic. This guide is founded on the knowledge that understanding these tactics can increase preparedness and promote resilience when stakeholders are faced with disinformation campaigns that target our nation’s critical infrastructure.
