The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) published a blog<https://cisa.gov/news-events/news/cybersentry-program-launches-webpage> and program information<https://www.cisa.gov/resources-tools/programs/cybersentry-program> about CyberSentry. CyberSentry is a CISA-managed threat detection and monitoring capability with critical infrastructure partners that operate significant networks supporting National Critical Functions (NCFs).
The CyberSentry program enables CISA to proactively hunt for malicious cyber activity, advise on mitigation strategies, and provide critical infrastructure partners with recommendations for improving overall network and control system security. It is governed by an agreement between CISA and voluntarily participating critical infrastructure partners.
CISA published a blog<https://cisa.gov/news-events/news/cybersentry-program-launches-webpage> and program webpage<https://www.cisa.gov/resources-tools/programs/cybersentry-program> about CyberSentry because we are looking to partner with a select number of additional critical infrastructure organizations. A prospective CyberSentry partner must operate significant industrial control systems/operational technology networks that support NCFs.
CyberSentry capabilities are not a replacement for an organization’s existing solutions; rather, CyberSentry focuses on partnerships that provide CISA with operational visibility across multiple organizations across multiple sectors which results in CISA having the ability to analyze threat activity and then share insights with the broader critical infrastructure community. In addition, it will help fortify critical infrastructure owners’ and operators’ existing ability to prioritize resources, defend themselves, and bolster resiliency capability for quicker recovery of vital national services.
Our new CyberSentry webpage<https://cisa.gov/cybersentry> includes an informational video<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDQZRkk_ckM>, fact sheet, and details on how to contact CISA’s CyberSentry Program. We encourage you to review this information to see if you could become a partner in this program.
