Today, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released the draft Hybrid Identity Solutions Architecture<https://cisa.gov/scuba> created as part of the agency's Secure Cloud Business Applications<https://cisa.gov/scuba> (SCuBA) initiative.



This guidance is to assist federal agencies in understanding potential options for identity management interoperability between cloud and on-premises systems. It evaluates challenges involved in developing architecture across both environments, as well as how to overcome them.



While the draft Hybrid Identity Solutions Architecture guidance is principally intended for use by federal agencies, CISA recommends that all organizations utilizing identify management solutions review this guidance and implement practices therein where appropriate.



CISA is requesting public comment to ensure our guidance enables the best flexibility to keep pace with evolving technologies and capabilities and protect the federal enterprise. The public comment period ends at close of business on April 17.  When all comments have been reviewed and adjudicated, CISA will publish a final version.
