Good afternoon,

The Oregon Statewide Interoperability Program<https://www.oregon.gov/eis/shared-services/Pages/statewide-interoperability-program.aspx> is seeking applicants for one full-time, permanent Statewide Interoperability Operations and Policy Analyst. We're looking for a dynamic and collaborative team member who has a strong desire to support public safety and emergency management stakeholders across the state. The position will support the Statewide Interoperability Program, the State Interoperability Executive Council (SIEC)<https://www.oregon.gov/eis/siec/pages/default.aspx>, state and local public safety and emergency management leaders, tribal partners, federal agencies, and others in implementing the Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP)<https://www.oregon.gov/eis/siec/Documents/SCIP/eis-siec-or-scip-w-appendix-b-2021.pdf> and will play a vital role in supporting emergency communications across the state.

About the Position

The Statewide Interoperability Operations and Policy Analyst position is classified as an Operations and Policy Analyst 3 and the salary range is $ $6,257 - $9,226/monthly. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies that improve interoperability across various sectors, ensuring that our emergency response and public safety entities can communicate seamlessly in times of need. Key Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with stakeholders to advance statewide interoperability.
-Drive the development of policies and procedures that enhance communication systems including alerts and warnings, 911 and dispatch, land mobile radio, and public safety broadband.
-Manage projects that support the mission of public safety and emergency response readiness.
-Support the SIEC in implementing our SCIP.
-Respond to emergencies when activated as part of the State's Emergency Coordination Center.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in public safety communications, emergency management, project management, and/or policy analysis, but most importantly someone who can build relationships. Your ability to lead, innovate, and forge partnerships across different sectors will be key to success in this role.

About the Program
Created under the State's Chief Information Officer, the Statewide Interoperability Program supports public safety, emergency management and the SIEC in achieving interoperability across the public safety communications ecosystem. Initiatives that the Statewide Interoperability Program is currently engaged in are outlined in the Oregon Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan and include projects like the expansion and support of the OR-Alert Statewide Alerts and Warnings System, implementing Next-Gen 911 in Oregon, expanding our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Branch Program, and building our emergency communications support capability. The program supports the SIEC in pursuing a vision of "Seamless, interoperable, and resilient emergency communications" across the state.
