<p class="MsoNormal">The Statewide Interoperability Program, in cooperation with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will be hosting an All-Hazards Information Technology Service Unit Leader (ITSL) Course October 17th thru
20th, in Salem. The ITSL Course is designed to help IT Professional integrate into the Incident Command System (ICS) structure during major emergencies, disasters, and planned events. The ITSL is needed to provide information management, cybersecurity,
and application management for the many critical incident/event related functions, to include: Incident/Unified Command Post, Incident Communications Centers, and various tactical operations centers, joint information center (JIC), staging areas, and field
locations. The ITSL Course provides an overview of the ITSL components including the Unified Help Desk (inclusive of both communications and IT support), IT Infrastructure Manager, Network Manager, and specialist roles. It provides an in-depth overview of
their responsibilities and includes exercises for the ITSL’s major functions to ensure reliable and timely delivery of IT services to participating agencies and officials during a multi-agency response. An article highlighting the success of the ITSL role
can be found <a href="https://www.cisa.gov/blog/2020/11/09/information-technology-structure-and-leadership-emergency-response">
here</a>. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Upon completion of the course, students are issued a <a href="https://urldefense.us/v3/__https:/www.oregon.gov/siec/Documents/COML/ITSL_Position_Task_Book_DRAFT*20REV11D_2019.pdf__;JQ!!BClRuOV5cvtbuNI!V9MuVi_vJin2VpGjRZbR0PXcT0loShTsz5BGz4GuiiRRuo_OIaOEcCyzHtXB69CPUEUqbu4$">

Program for peer review and certification. The certification and credentialing process is outlined in our Communications Unit (COMU) Program Documentation available
<a href="https://urldefense.us/v3/__https:/www-auth.oregon.gov/siec/Documents/COML/OREGON*20COMU*20Plan*20Rev.*201.pdf__;JSUlJQ!!BClRuOV5cvtbuNI!V9MuVi_vJin2VpGjRZbR0PXcT0loShTsz5BGz4GuiiRRuo_OIaOEcCyzHtXB69CPrfatMJU$">

Eugene. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">At this time, the class is limited to students supporting emergency or disaster response in Oregon only as it is limited to 20 seats. Students MUST have a sponsoring public safety, emergency management, or disaster response organization.
(Volunteers are eligible to attend with sponsoring agency endorsement.)This course is offered free of charge however students/agencies/organizations are responsible for any travel or per diem costs associated with attending the course. As a condition of enrollment,
home agencies/organizations are expected to support students in completing their PTBs following the course and supervisors will be contacted before confirming enrollment.
