[Cnaprogram] OSBN Scheduled Meetings-Two Opportunities to Participate and Provide Input: CNA2 Stakeholders Meetings and NA and MA Test Advisory Panels (TAP)

Two opportunities to provide input:


1)     A stakeholder group is being assembled by the Oregon State Board of Nursing to review the current CNA 2 authorized duties and training curriculums.   The Board is looking for broad representation in the stakeholder group.  If you are a CNA 2, a supervisor or employer of CNA 2s, or faculty in a CNA 2 training program and interested in volunteering some time to this project, please contact Debra Buck at debra.buck at state.or.us<mailto:debra.buck at state.or.us> or Penny Patterson at ppatterson2 at state.or.us<mailto:ppatterson2 at state.or.us>.  The meetings are scheduled for October 30, November 13, and December 18, 2013 from 9 am to 12 pm.  Stakeholders will have the opportunity to attend in person at 17938 SW Upper Boones Ferry Rd, Portland, OR or to participant via iLink.



2)     Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide Test Advisory Panels (TAP) are scheduled, at the Board's office, 17938 SW Upper Boones Ferry Rd, Portland, OR for this Fall.  The Medication Aide TAP is scheduled for the afternoon of October 17, 2013 and the Nursing Assistant TAP is scheduled for all day on October 18, 2013. The exact times are yet to be determined.  These panels are limited to a small number of participants so only one individual can represent an employer or training program.  If you are an employer or instructor of nursing assistants or medication aides and want to participate in these panels, please contact Debra Buck at debra.buck at state.or.us<mailto:debra.buck at state.or.us> or Penny Patterson at ppatterson2 at state.or.us<mailto:ppatterson2 at state.or.us>.  Priority for participation will be given to individuals who represent a variety of the types of employers and training programs and the different geographic areas of Oregon.
