Hello Nursing Assistant Training Program Directors,
It is essential that student nursing assistants have the opportunity to perform the skills taught in the training program curriculum during their clinical experience. I am hearing from employers that recent graduates of nursing assistant training programs are reporting to them that they are not getting the opportunity to perform skills like using mechanical lifts during the clinical experience. Please talk to your clinical sites and training program faculty to ensure that students get this valuable experience while they are under your supervision.
Let me know if you have any questions.
