<p class=MsoPlainText>Subject: Updated Headmaster Candidate Handbook<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Hello-<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>There is an updated version of the Headmaster NA
Candidate Handbook as of June 7, 2010. The handbook is found at:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><a
href="http://www.hdmaster.com/testing/cnatesting/oregon/orformpages/ORCandidateHandbook.pdf">http://www.hdmaster.com/testing/cnatesting/oregon/orformpages/ORCandidateHandbook.pdf</a>
.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Please note that this version of the handbook contains a
smaller, more focused list of steps for each of the skills. This information is
being provided to help prepare students to take the skills portion of the CNA
exam. The skill sheets that are currently being used to train students will go
away on July 1, 2010. Trainers will use their textbooks and/or audiovisuals to
teach the skills in the future. The training steps in the CNA test candidate
handbook will provide guidance for the trainers in teaching the skills. This is
an effort to reduce the confusion created by the textbook showing the skill
being done one way, the audiovisuals used in the course showing another way,
and the skill sheet describing yet another way. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>The CNA Test Advisory Panel (TAP) did recommend the
removal of weighing a client as a skill on the exam. Students will still be
trained on taking a weight but they will not test on this skill on the state
exam from today forward.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>This new version of the Headmaster CNA test candidate
handbook reflects the changes made by the CNA TAP. Every training program
should be covering the information in the handbook with their students.
