<p class="MsoNormal">In the meeting I got a little off track because we were talking about Storytelling to show our value. I mentioned a really powerful free “app” that I use called
<a href="https://storymaps.arcgis.com/en/">Storymaps-</a> built by ArcGIS. I said I’d send a few links to maps I’ve made. Since the State Library supports the whole state I have found that maps are a great way to tell out story (and well… I like maps. )<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=cfefc5742ea045aa862f043b10045dd9">Here’s the one I showed in our meeting</a><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://arcg.is/29bMjZU">Here’s one I made</a> when I found that we had a lot of photos of Fire Towers in our collection. Fire watching is such a large story in Washington it gave me an excuse to promote out photo collection.

<p class="MsoNormal">And <a href="http://arcg.is/1TiRGYN">one more that showed the progress of one of our circulating STEM kits.
</a> I mentioned that many of our grants require pictures as part of their reporting and is one way I’ve used those pictures.

<p class="MsoNormal">And <a href="http://arcg.is/1YA4IRR">this was a grant that we gave to school libraries</a> to update their STEM collection in their libraries.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Obviously this has nothing to do with the VR part of my job but I share it with you anyway. In another incarnation I think I’d have been a map librarian.
